Just a little about us…

Prolight Electrical is a family owned and operated company started by Sam and Mel Lienert. Sam started out with a passion for production sound and lighting systems, which lead him to an Electrical apprenticeship which he began in 1998. During this time he developed a keen interest in all things Electrical and pursued a future as a full-time Electrician, leaving the sound and lighting industry behind. In 2003, after a short time working for other electrical companies Sam branched out on his own and Prolight Electrical was born. It had a humble beginning in the family garage and has seen many changes and times of growth over the years.

Sam enjoys bringing his skill in the lighting industry into the design work of new homes and renovation projects. He enjoys the challenge of finding solutions for more difficult lighting installs and providing ideas for alternative and imaginative lighting solutions.

More recently Sam has moved on to pursue other areas of work and has handed over the running of the business to the 2IC Rob Grant. Rob was the second apprentice Prolight took on back in 2006. Rob is part of the backbone of the company and has played a vital role in developing Prolight over the years.

Prolight is committed to providing high quality work and service to the Wellington region, and plans to keep growing from strength to strength into the future!
